Course Description

Recommended Prior Learning

This is an open entry course but may be suited to students that find areas of academic study in the senior school difficult, and/or are unclear of the future direction they will take.


Future Planning is a subject which has been designed to teach students about practical aspects of society.

Students will gain a variety of skills and knowledge in a diverse range of areas. The focus of the course is to develop students’ confidence, employability and life skills. Work experience opportunities and literacy support  may be offered subject to student needs.

  • Driver safety and responsibility 

  • Employability Skills

  • Budgeting and money management

  • Literacy skill development

INDIVIDUAL LEARNING PROGRAMMES 

  • At the beginning of the course individual learning programmes will be created to meet students' specific needs.

  • These programmes will be reviewed term by term.
