9WSD – Year 9 Technology – Workshop Design – 1 Semester

Workshop Design is a course that teaches students the design process in a workshop setting. Students will learn the use of both hand tools and fixed machines to create various projects using a range of materials, including wood, metals and plastics. 

Student projects will cover both set projects for learning core skills and self-designed elements. The projects cover a range that have included letter/picture holders, device stands, lighting projects and more that will be made and taken home. These projects will be influenced by student interest in the class.
