Year 9 Social Studies is a compulsory course

Social Science develops the essential skills common to all learning areas through the process of:

  • inquiry
  • values exploration
  • perspectives 
  • and social decision making

 

The theme of work is, “Our place in the World”. The content covered will include Tūrangawaewae (Culture and Identity) and Having a Voice (Government and Organisation), covering societies past and present; locally and globally.
