Recommended Prior LearningYear 10 Mathematics is a core subject. Year 9 Mathematics is good preparation for this course.
Year 10 learning in Mathematics continues our preparation for the NCEA national qualifications, and builds both numeracy and literacy skills. Students will broaden their understanding of number, algebra, measurement, geometry, statistics and probability. They will strengthen their use of patterns, reasoning skills, and quantitative insights. Students will be guided to think critically through the problem-solving and creative processes that underpin mathematical thought.
Education Perfect will be utilised as a tool for teaching and learning and assessment.
