Course Description

Year 10 learning in Mathematics builds both numeracy and literacy skills, and continues our preparation for the NCEA national qualifications. Students will broaden their understanding of number, algebra, measurement, geometry, statistics and probability. They will strengthen their use of patterns, reasoning skills, and quantitative insights. Students will be guided to think critically through the problem-solving and creative processes that underpin mathematical thought.
Education Perfect will be utilised as a tool for teaching and learning and assessment.
Recommended Prior Learning
Year 10 Mathematics is a core subject, for four periods per week for the full year.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
A scientific calculator (e.g. CASIO fx-82 or similar) is required.
A BYOD device is required.
