Course Description

Students will work collaboratively and individually to develop a range of technical and conceptual solutions to their own themes within Sculpture. Students will investigate and use a variety of artists’ ideas to develop a body of sculptural work. Refer to links below to see examples of student work. Future Possibilities

Entry to tertiary Art, Design or Photography courses is often through folio submission representing a variety of art study in the Year 13 courses, therefore students considering studying Art and/or Design at University should enrol in two of the following Level 3 courses: Art Design, Art Photography, Art Painting, Art Printmaking or Art Sculpture. These can be taken as either full year or as a semester course. See Mr Soltero for more information.
If a student achieves 14 Level 3 credits in this course it will be counted as an approved subject for University Entrance.


Contributions and Equipment/Stationery

$80.00 includes:
Art pack
Group resources.
Photocopying and basic materials.
NB:  Supplementary materials may be required during the year;  amount varies between students.
Courier costs of $10.00 and folio printing contribution is notified at the end of Term 2.


Recommended Prior Learning

Maturity, enthusiasm and ability to work independently are required. Successful completion of Sculpture 21F or 21S is recommended. Students who have not successfully completed Sculpture 21F or 21S may not be able to undertake the full course and must consult with Miss Stewart.
