In this course students will develop and grow knowledge and skills in the Digital Technologies strand of CT (Computational Thinking).
Students will learn:
computer science and how to program with Python
to work through the process of design to create their own digital programming outcome
to use knowledge and skills to create their own digital programming outcome
to use PHP/MySQL to manage data for a digital outcome
learn about and develop a computer system
to understand compression coding

Term 1
You will be learning how to create a computer proram and will complete the assessment 92004 Create a computer program by week 11 Term 1.
Term 2
Creating your digital outcome with databasing and computer program. You will have completed this assessment by Week 6 in Term 3.
92005 Develop a Digital Technologies Outcome.
Term 3
Creating your digital outcome with databasing and computer program. You will have completed this assessment by Week 6 in Term 3.
92005 Develop a Digital Technologies Outcome.
For the rest of Term 3 you will be learning about Human Computer Interaction in preparation for the external 92006 Demonstrate understanding of usability in human-computer interfaces.
Term 4
You will complete a mock exam for the external exam 92006.
AS 92004 and 92005 are internally assessed and 92006 is an external in exam format where you will sit at the end of year.
