Course Description

This course is for students from non-English speaking backgrounds, and contains activities and provides support in all language strands – written, oral and visual. Students can achieve standards for NCEA in English and the new English Language (EL) standards. 

Please note: The total number of credits available for this course is 23. Students can choose to do US27999 or US28068, not both. Similarly students can choose to do either US31044 or US28000, not both.

Students who pass standards US28068, US31044 and US30996 can use the evidence from these standards towards core generic Level 1 literacy standards.
