This course enables you to think about the food they eat? Teenagers are aggressively targeted by food advertising at a time of rapid growth and development. Through developing knowledge of digestion, nutrition, advertising techniques and food labelling you will be empowered to make informed food choices.
Social media apps such as Facebook, blogs, uber eats, and TV programs such as “Eat well for Less” and so on, may influence teenage food choices. Through exploring recent changes in food eating patterns, a positive attitude to food is promoted. You may have the opportunity in groups to create your own spin on nutritious food through developing “Kai in a bag”.
This course will give you a good grounding of understanding for future study in Year 11 Food & Nutrition or Year 11 Hospitality.
