Year 10 English - Full Year - Compulsory

In Year 10 English, ākonga will continue to learn and develop their skills in their junior journey. They will continue to develop their confidence in communication and critical thinking through four main units of work. 

These units of work vary in developing their reading, writing and verbal skills and focus on several topics such as issues directly impacting Gen Z, conspiracy theories, big ideas developed from literary texts and identifying patterns in literature. 

All students will be exposed to an Aotearoa lens when discussing concepts connected to their texts. All ākonga will be supported to develop and share their ideas in a variety of formats throughout the year.
