DESIGN and TEXTILES TECHNOLOGY 31F - Full Year
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Ms T. Williams.
Students will begin the year by developing their practical skills while drafting their own pattern for a garment design. Using these skills they will then explore complex procedures to create a garment featuring an applied design. Students do not need to have completed 21F Design and Textiles Technology however students must have prior knowledge of textiles and an ability to sew competently.
Future Possibilities
This course aims to provide a grounding in important skills and knowledge that will prepare students for future tertiary education in Design and Textiles at providers such as Ara or University.
If a student achieves 14 Level 3 credits in this course it will be counted as an approved subject for University Entrance.
Recommended Prior Learning
Design and Textiles Technology 21F would be an advantage, but not essential.

Fabric may need to be supplied.
