SCIENCE 13F - Full Year

This course studies a broad variety of Science, with an emphasis on scientific literacy and building the skills needed to make educated decisions in the future. This is designed for students who are not planning to pursue Biology, Chemistry or Physics. Topics in this course build on those presented in Years 9 and 10 and further develop understanding of the Nature of Science.
Classes will study from the following areas, although the exact topics may vary year to year:
1. The movement of carbon in our environment.
3. Effects of exercise on the human body.
4. Investigation in Science.
5. Recognising different reaction types.
This course will offer 16 credits and will be selected from the list below. Students will NOT complete all of the assessment listed, but 4 will be selected each year.
NOTE: Students can only choose ONE Science option at Year 11.
This course can lead into a number of different Science pathways in the Senior school, including Physical Science, General Science, Life Sciences, Agriculture, Horticulture, and Astronomy.
