MEDIA 21F - Full Year

In Media21F, students will gain knowledge, skills, and experience to apply knowledge of media conventions and technology to create media.
The tasks in the course that the students will undertake will includes:
- design and plan a film trailer
- pitch ideas to a real live audience
- write a script for a film trailer
- and produce a film trailer
Plus, students will sit an external assessment.
Note: students can also take Year 12 English as a further subject if they wish.
This course prepares students for studying Year 13 Media, studying media and communication, broadcasting school, film production, media design, general media production and future study/career in a media-related industry.
Recommended Prior Learning
The writing demands of film production (design and plan, scriptwriting) require successful completion of any of the following courses: Media11F or English11F/11E or DTM11F/DTP11P
Students new to Media, will need to apply for entry to the TIC of Media Ms. Helen MacGougan.
This course is eligible for subject endorsement.

Externally Assessed Credits: 4 credits.
Internally Assessed Credits: 13 credits.
