Course Description

This course is for students from non-English speaking backgrounds.  It provides support in all language strands – written, oral and visual. Students can achieve standards for the new English Language (EL) standards. Students can also gain UE Literacy and/or study towards the IELTS examination.


The standards listed below are indicative of the possible assessments which may run alongside this course. Students will be entered into standards that best reflect their individual learning needs and attainment.


Recommended Prior Learning

English Language unit standards at Level 4 or post-intermediate level of English. 

Students who are doing a full Year 13 course of study.
