Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Ms A. Sullivan.
Students focus on developing their communication skills in a range of areas.
Students will:
•present graphic presentations •learn interview skills • conduct interviews •work in a team
•develop strategies to improve their own learning • learn note taking skills • conduct meetings
•develop peer feedback skills
Students complete Communications Skills Unit Standards and are offered other standards from the list below to meet individual learning needs.
This course is suitable for students who have gained Level 1 Literacy and although they find English difficult, wish to continue to study English at Level 2. You can NOT gain Level 1 Literacy in this course. There are options to gain more credits throughout this course.
The course provides good skills for students who are transitioning out of school.
