Course Description

SUBJECT OVERVIEW
The Supported Transition course has been designed to teach students about practical aspects of society.
Students will gain a variety of skills and knowledge in a diverse range of areas. There will be some credits on offer but the focus of the course is to develop students’ confidence, employability and life skills. Work experience opportunities may be offered.

Budgeting and money management
Driver licencing ( Support to gain a Learners Licence)
Employability Skills
Literacy and Numeracy skills development
Rights and responsibilities under the law
INDIVIDUAL LEARNING PROGRAMMES - Each student will have an individually created learning programme to meet their specific needs. These programmes will be reviewed term by term.
Recommended Prior Learning
The course is Open Entry. Students may need to meet with the Teacher in Charge to ensure the course will meet their needs.
