WHAT THE COURSE WILL COVER:
INTRODUCTION TO:
• Gaming design and programming
• Website creation
• Photo manipulation
• Vector Graphics
• Animation

INCLUDING:
• Working with computers
• Learning lots of new skills
• Designing and creating digital technologies outcomes
• Problem solving and lateral thinking
• Understanding how any digital device works
• Understanding the positive and negative impacts of digital technologies on society
• How to share and test your digital outcome

APPLICATIONS MAY INCLUDE:
Scratch, Notepad ++, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Presentations, Spreadsheets, Blogger, Reploit

METHODS OF LEARNING:
• Practical hands on approach using a range of materials
• Group work
• Self/peer evaluation
• Project based learning

WHERE DOES THE SUBJECT LEAD:
• Year 10 Digital Technologies ­ half year option
• Year 11 Digital Technologies ­ Students can specialise in the areas of Programming or Multimedia
• Year 12 Digital Technologies ­ Students can specialise in the areas of Programming or Multimedia
• Year 13 Digital Technologies ­ Students can specialise in their areas of strength which can include Programming, Multimedia and Applications
