Course Description

Are you wanting to learn about different restaurant and cafe styles ? Do you want to cook cafe style foods ? Do you want to learn to be a good waiter ? Can you serve restaurant/ cafe guests ? If this interests you, then give this half year course a go.
In this course you will have 2-3 periods of of practical cooking and waiter related skills and 2 periods of theory per week.
Gain Level 2 credits by demonstrating how to be a good waiter and by having knowledge about different styles of restaurants and cafes.
There are 2 waitered functions which you will be assessed at. All other assessment aspects are internal and are open book.
Recommended Prior Learning
An interest in food preparation and the service industry is recommended. Completion of the course and credits will support you to gain employment in the hospitality industry, should you wish.
