Course Description

This course builds on essential mathematics and statistics skills. It focuses on practical applications in real life situations. As part of this course we will endeavour to offer standards that best suit the student's individual pathway.

Future Possibilities
This course is suitable for students not intending to study Mathematics beyond Year 12 but are eager to take a course which will equip them with more advanced mathematics and statistics skills.

NB: To gain entry to Level 3 Mathematics courses, students would benefit by completing two  semesters of Level 2 Mathematics.


Recommended Prior Learning

It is recommended that the student has gained 10 Level 1 Achievement Standard credits in Mathematics. 

Contributions and Equipment/Stationery

Students will require a scientific or graphics calculator.
