9FTC – Year 9 Technology – Foods – 1 Semester

Course Description

Do you know over 70% of the food you buy is processed? In this course you will discover the ingredients in food products through deconstruction and evaluation of ultra-processed foods. You will also develop how to appreciate and describe the attributes of food, labelling, simple marketing, innovative packaging, recent trends such as superfoods and planetary diet. Then you collaborate to develop a design and model a potential food product, label and package.
