Year 10 Health & Physical Education - Half Year - Compulsory
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mrs N. Marshall.
All year 10 students will participate in this compulsory Health & Physical Education course.
This course will consist of 2 practical periods and 2 theory periods per week. Students will have the opportunity to develop the following skills throughout the Physical Education component of the course:
Relating to Others & Social Responsibility
Managing self
Participating and Contributing.
These concepts will be taught through various physical contexts.
The Health component of this course will consist of:
Friendships
Relationships and Sexuality Education
Drug Education
Mental Health (Change, Loss and Grief)
Recommended Prior Learning
In Year 10 Health & Physical Education is a core subject, for four periods per week for half a year.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
PE Uniform: Air mesh side stripe tee – navy/white
Shorts, track pants or leggings – navy or black
Sports shoes
PHS sports hoodie or long sleeve tee
Students are expected to change into the compulsory Health and Physical Education uniform for practical periods.
